When we lost our old girl a few weeks ago after nearly 18 beautiful years together, she left a huge cat shaped hole in our hearts. We realized as a family we had a lot of love still to give a cat and we knew when we saw Hatrick on the KHS site that he sounded like a great fit.
It took him almost no time to settle into our home, and was immediately curious, playful and intensely cuddly right off the hop.
We renamed him Remi after our 3 year old son was having trouble saying Hatrick and was calling him “Electric” by accident so we named him Remington Electric and call him Remi for short.
We love him so much already and are so thrilled to have him join our family. He’s having a ball running up and down stairs and seems to be very happy, sleeping with (on) us every night. He’s fast friends with our house bunny and they play tag- never rough, always respectful. Our old pup is a great pal to cuddle with and I work from home a lot so I’ve been benefitting from those cuddles too during the day. It’s been seamless and we couldn’t be more pleased!! He’s a hoot while he tries to figure out how to be a cat like all kittens but then he seems amazed that he has a new family and a big soft warm bed to cuddle with us. He looks like he’s smiling all the time.
