Rufus is the most affectionate cat I’ve ever known and the perfect fit for Dave and myself. We love to pat him and give him chin and cheek rubs. All of Rufus’ fur has grown back – he’s one big beautiful golden furball who is quite happy with all-over rubs – including tummy rubs. ?

Rufus has an interesting vocabulary. His purr is intermittent and is low frequency so it sound a bit like a grunt. When he is doing his wild animal thing and tearing around, he barks like a seal on take-off.  “Mrao” seem to be hello;   “Meiu” sounds like a question. And there’s a loud “Wrao” that is related to feeding but I can talk him down to something closer to a “mrao”.
