Fundraising and Community Engagement Coordinator
The Kingston Humane Society is seeking an engaging and energetic individual to fill the position of Fundraising and Community Engagement Coordinator. This is a full-time permanent position.
The Fundraising and Community Engagement Coordinator will provide leadership, manage projects, develop fundraising strategies and increase community engagement with the organization. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work in the community to develop and maintain relationships with new and current donors, partners and sponsors. Experience in the coordination of community and special events and communicating with the public through traditional and social media is required. The incumbent will support the mission and values of the organization in all interactions with the public, donors, sponsors, community partners, volunteers and staff members.
- Graduation from a Post-Secondary Program in the field of fundraising, media relations, marketing or public relations
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management, fundraising and public relations
- Valid Driver’s License
- Project Management experience
- Technological skills, including the ability to work efficiently with computers, a broad variety of software and a web-based environment
Must be available to work flexible hours/days, including some weekends and evenings as required. Experience in the animal welfare industry and working with an organization managed by a Board of Directors is considered an asset for this position.
